It’s that time of the year again. It is New Year’s Eve and the calendar is about to flip to 2017. Everyone is trying to figure out what their New Year’s Resolutions should be. If you are anything like me you might jot yours down on a piece of paper as a reminder to yourself. That got me thinking: What would the Dodgers players jot down for their New Year’s resolutions for the 2017 season?
Adrian Gonzalez – Get Puig to settle down. Started doing a great job of this a couple years ago. Gotta get back at it.
Joc Pederson – Find a swing and stick with it. Don’t listen to all those people out there saying you need to raise your average. Become a power hitter and embrace it.
Chris Hatcher – Learn how to paint.
Justin Turner – Don’t have an April/May like 2016. Just do what you did in the second half.
Dave Roberts – Win World Series.
Yasmani Grandal – Hit even more bombs.
Scott Kazmir – Stay healthy.
Brandon McCarthy – Stay healthy.
Yasiel Puig – Stay off the road and out of the news. Go back to just having fun on the field.
Hyun-Jin Ryu – Don’t over do it. Don’t try to do too much. It’s been awhile. Let it come back naturally.
Kenley Jansen – Don’t let the money go to your head. Keep your head down and do your job.
Trayce Thompson – Pick back up right where you left off. Don’t let injuries stop you from being what you can be.
Clayton Kershaw – Win. Work hard. Win. Stay healthy. Win.
Scott Van Slyke – Regain your position as the power threat off the bench.
Andrew Toles – Take advantage of every minute you have. Few people get second chances like this.
Rich Hill – Show them last year wasn’t a fluke. No blisters.
Corey Seager – Learn as much as you can and find ways to improve everyday.
Vin Scully – Sit back and enjoy a season at home.
